New partnership supports community gardens, urban farms, and food education across Allegheny County
Edgar Snyder & Associates is proud to announce a new partnership with Grow Pittsburgh to increase access to fresh, healthy food throughout the Pittsburgh region.
Through this collaboration, Edgar Snyder & Associates will work with Grow Pittsburgh to help strengthen community gardens, expand food production and distribution through urban farms, support garden learning in schools and early childhood centers in order to connect more residents to fresh, local produce.

Grow Pittsburgh’s mission is to teach people how to grow food and to promote the benefits gardens bring to neighborhoods. Our firm is proud to work with them to:
- Increase access to affordable, healthy fruits and vegetables
- Expand school and community garden programs

what are the prizes
There will be five winners:
- One school will receive $2,500 and four will receive $1,000. And, each winning artist gets a prize of their own!
- In addition, the grand prize winner will receive a $250 Visa gift card and the remaining winners will each receive a $100 Visa gift card.
- All winners will have their artwork featured on a billboard in their community.
Who is Eligible?
Elementary school students in grades K – 5 in Western and Central PA are eligible to enter.
