Teaming Up With Kenny Pickett for Charity
We're thrilled to announce an exciting addition to our charitable team! We've partnered with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, known for his exceptional performance both on and off the field. Kenny's dedication to giving back to the community aligns perfectly with our mission of making the Pittsburgh community a better place to live.
Engaging the Pittsburgh Community:
Kenny Pickett joins our team of esteemed community champions, including Cam Heyward, Ryan Shazier, and Kris Letang. Together, we're determined to make a difference and create a positive impact.
Connecting Champions
We are honored to work alongside Kenny to support a very special local organization – Connecting Champions. Since 2011, Connecting Champions has asked kids and young adults with cancer, “What are you passionate about?” then connects them with mentors to be with them through their cancer journey. They give pediatric cancer patients the opportunity to explore and establish an identity outside of their diagnosis.
Through our partnership with Kenny, we will help Connecting Champions to create 40 new friendships by pairing a child or young adult with a mentor in their field of interest. Support goes directly to passion project activity kits (like tools to create their first animation or materials to sew a dress), a hands-on way to pursue their passions with their mentor.
Connecting Champions is always looking for mentors to work with their young patients, so if you’re able and interested, we encourage you to sign up to be a mentor today. You can learn more at connectingchampions.org
