Road Radio USA: Mixing Music With the Message
At Edgar Snyder & Associates, we see first-hand the devastation that underage drinking can cause. We represent victims of serious injuries or worse. That’s why our law firm has teamed up with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to present Road Radio USA, an innovative program geared to prevent underage drinking and other destructive behaviors.
Road Radio is a multi-media assembly that combines music, lights and education in a format that actually reaches teens. This school year, Road Radio USA will travel to 30 middle schools in Western Pennsylvania.
In an attempt to provide students with the facts about alcohol, other drugs and making choices, we are excited to offer “Road Radio USA” as a free community service.
More than one-third of adolescents in the United States are trying alcohol as their drug of choice in middle school. This opens the door to risky behaviors, injury, illegal activities and more.
Road Radio USA is presented as a "live radio broadcast" that integrates student and teacher participation. What begins as a fun assembly ends with every eye riveted on stage as Jim Mothersbaugh's powerful message is put into perspective. When Jim talks about how alcohol can mess up your life, he’s talking from experience. Both kids and school principals are talking about the important impact of Road Radio on students' lives.
Want your students to benefit from Road Radio USA? Parents, teachers, students, school administrators and community leaders interested in this program should contact dkrotec@edgarsnyder.com.
