Pittsburgh Business Times Corporate Citizenship Award

Proud to be Recognized
We were proud to recently be recognized for something that is a pillar of our corporate philosophy: giving back. As Edgar says, “If you are blessed enough to be fortunate, you have a responsibility to give back.” This mindset has helped guide our law firm’s evolution throughout the years, and it was an honor to find out we were selected as one of the recipients of the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2018 Corporate Citizenship awards.
Thank you to the Pittsburgh Business Times for creating a program that highlights the wonderful things going on in our community. It was humbling to be recognized alongside organizations who are amazing examples of what it means to be active, engaged, and generous members of the community.
Dedicating This Award to Our Community Partners
The most meaningful part of the award, however, is the opportunity it gives us to highlight the impact that our community partners make through their dedication to those in need.
One of those partners, The Heyward House, was featured at the Corporate Citizenship awards ceremony for the work they’ve done with at-risk and underserved youth. We’ve been working with Cam Heyward and his foundation since 2015, and we’ve been able to help them with initiatives through Blessings in a Backpack, KidsVoice, and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s Child Advocacy Center.
Some of the other organizations and people we have been fortunate to partner with include:
- Kris Letang & Dreambuilders – supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western PA and Playworks
- Josh Bell & Dreambuilders – supporting Blessings in a Backpack
- Variety the Children’s Charity – supporting their MyBike and MyVoice programs
- Miracles in Moon with Rocky Bleier and Jim Leyland
Please click on any of the links above to learn more about the incredible things these organizations are doing for people in our region.
Learn How You Can Get Involved
You can learn about our other community sponsorships and initiatives throughout the Giving Back section. Many of our community partners – such as The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Playworks, The Boys & Girls Clubs, and Blessings in a Backpack – would love to have your help. There are opportunities to donate, volunteer, and, in some instances, start your own program.
Again, we were so thankful to be included in this year’s group of winners. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized – it is an honor to work alongside you to make our region a better place to live.
