Workers' Comp for Truck and Delivery Drivers Inured on the Job
November 30, 2018 — Between icy driving conditions and tight delivery deadlines, the holidays are a vulnerable time for truck and delivery drivers. Remember, if you’re hurt on the job, you may be entitled to workers’ compensation.
Hurt While Driving or Making a Delivery for Work?
If you drive for work and you were hurt making a delivery or lifting something, you’re entitled to workers’ compensation benefits. Additionally, if you drive for work and were hurt in a vehicle accident on the job, you’re also entitled to workers’ compensation benefits.
If you were hurt in an accident that wasn’t your fault, such as a car accident or slipping on untreated ice, you may be able to file a personal injury claim or a third-party liability claim. These types of claims can get complicated but we’re here to help answer any of your questions.
