Edgar Snyder & Associates Helps Spruce Up Animal Friends
Lending a Hand to Help Our Furry Friends
At Animal Friends on Camp Horne Road in Pittsburgh, volunteers—3,000 in total—are the lifeblood of the nonprofit, helping staffers there do everything from clean cages to walk and socialize with the animals.
A crew from Edgar Snyder & Associates joined their ranks on Friday, helping to spruce up the building and grounds.
Eleven volunteers from the firm spent the better part of the day weed-whacking and gardening, as well as cleaning up a conference room in need of a post-event scrub down.
But it wasn't all work and no play for our volunteers. They also got to pal around with two of Animal Friends' tiniest four-legged residents: A pair of 2-month old kittens.
The little balls of fur fell in love with a few of our staffers (and we're pretty sure the feelings were mutual).
Animal Friends staffers also treated our staff to a tour of the building, where they learned about how the no-kill shelter operates (and also got to say hello to some of Animal Friends' other furry inhabitants).
Want to get involved? Animal Friends is always accepting new volunteers, who can help with:
- Classroom presentations
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Administrative and data-entry support
- Special events
- Socializing with shelter cats, dogs and rabbits
- Satellite and community adoption events
The Animal Friends website has complete information not only on how to become a volunteer.
Edgar Snyder & Associates is proud to support Animal Friends—and our volunteers can't wait for the next opportunity to help out!
