Happy to Help Hundreds Get Home Safely on New Year's Eve

After making the responsible decision to arrange a sponsored cab ride, hundreds of New Year's Eve party-goers throughout Western Pennsylvania were returned safely to their homes able to look forward to a bright New Year. Had they driven home after consuming alcohol that night, that may not have been the case.

Edgar Snyder & Associates partnered with various organizations throughout our region to help provide cab rides, free-of-charge, to those who included alcohol in their New Year's Eve plans.

In Blair County, PA, 191 residents benefitted from 92 cab rides home during this past New Year's Eve as part of the "Take-a-Cab, We'll Pay the Tab" program. Participation in the program has increased by 17% since last year. For nearly 20 years, this life-saving service has helped keep many drunk drivers off of Blair County roads on New Year's Eve.

Our law firm also joined Forever Broadcasting and State Senator Wozniak to offer free cab rides home on New Year's Eve as part of a similar program in Cambria County, PA. This newly formed initiative gave out 60 cab rides to residents within a 15 mile radius of Johnstown.

At Edgar Snyder & Associates, we see too often the pain, hurt, and loss caused by drunk drivers. If you would like to help further our efforts to prevent drinking and driving, please sign our Pledge to Stay Safe and Sober. You'll stay safe and sober on the roads and be entered to win a $100 VISA Gift Card. We'll randomly choose one pledge entry each quarter and will contact the winner via email or phone. The next prize drawing will take place on January 6, 2014.
