Help Us Provide Adaptive Bikes for Children This Holiday Season

adaptive bikes for child with special needs

For most children, riding a bike is nothing out of the ordinary. But for a child who struggles to even walk, having that same opportunity can transform their life.

Variety, the Children's Charity of Pittsburgh, recently launched a new initiative to provide adaptive bikes to children with disabilities.

The bikes give these children the gift of typical childhood experiences, mobility, and freedom. The program, called "My Bike," builds custom bikes for local children who have limited mobility. Variety's goal is to provide 200 bikes by the holiday.

Over the past few weeks, our firm has partnered with Variety to invite Facebook users to give "Likes for Bikes." For every new Facebook "Like" we receive on the Edgar Snyder & Associates Facebook page, we will donate $1 to Variety's "My Bike" program.

We have had a wonderful response so far, and want to extend the initiative beyond Facebook to gain more awareness for this great cause.

Now, through the end of December, there are even more ways you can get involved:

  • On Twitter -- #Tweet4Bikes – We will donate $1 for every tweet or retweet mentioning @edgarsnyder that includes the hashtag "#Tweet4Bikes"
  • On Pinterest – For every re-pin of this image, our firm will donate $1 to Variety's "My Bike" program

Please like, tweet and pin to show your support to help us reach our goal of providing 2 bikes for children this holiday season.

Note:
Edgar Snyder & Associates is guaranteeing a donation of $3,600 to Variety, the amount needed to provide two bikes.
