Attorney Edgar Snyder has been honored with Pennsylvania State University's Alumni Fellow Award, which recognizes Penn State alumni for their outstanding professional accomplishments. The award is the highest honor given by the Penn State Alumni Association.
Every year, roughly 18 to 25 individuals are nominated for the award. For an individual to be nominated, they must be a graduate of Penn State and display outstanding work in their chosen field. Nominations are reviewed by a selecting committee that includes, among others, the provost of the University, an academic dean and chancellor, and the executive director of the Alumni Association.Since the award was established in 1973, about 700 alumni have been honored with the title, representing only one-eighth of one percent of all living Penn State alumni. The award is meant to highlight the important contributions Penn Staters make to both the nation and the world.
