Toyota Recalls Over 1.7 Million Cars for Possible Fuel Leakage Problems

Toyota Lexus recall

Toyota has announced recalls involving more than 1.7 million vehicles worldwide due to faulty parts that could result in fuel leakage.

The manufacturer said that 1.28 million vehicles in Japan and 421,000 vehicles in North America and other markets are affected. The international recall covers several models – including Noah, Avensis, and Tourer – that have faulty fuel pipes. The United States recall involves the following:

  • 2006 through 2007 Lexus GS300/350
  • 2006 through early 2009 Lexus IS250
  • 2006 through early 2008 Lexus IS350

The company suspects a problem with the vehicles' fuel pressure sensor installation. Inspections and repairs will be done free of charge.
