ReNu MoistureLoc Linked to Serious Eye Infection, Blindness.

ReNu MoistureLoc

The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) ordered Bausch & Lomb to pull its ReNu MoistureLoc contact solution from the shelves due to a link with a serious eye infection. Note that some dollar stores are still selling the product.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported to the FDA that there are at least 130 confirmed cases of Fusarium Keratitis. The rare fungal infection of the eye can lead to serious vision problems, and even blindness.

People Who Used ReNu MoistureLoc Lens Solution May Suffer Symptoms Such As:

  • Eye Redness & Pain
  • Blurred Vision
  • Light Sensitivity
  • Excessive Tearing
  • Discharge

If you are experiencing symptoms and used ReNu MoistureLoc contact solution, visit your eye doctor. Fusarium Keratitis must be treated with special antifungal prescription drugs and is often not diagnosed quickly enough. If the eye is too badly damaged, surgery of the cornea is necessary.
