Attorney Cynthia Danel Named One of Top Fifty Women Attorneys in Pennsylvania
This year, Attorney
Cynthia Danel, a partner at the law firm of Edgar Snyder &
Associates, has been named one of the top 50 women attorneys in the
state of Pennsylvania. She is one out of only five women attorneys in
Pittsburgh to receive this honor, which was awarded based on the results
of the 2008 Super Lawyer
selection process.
Only the top five percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive the Super Lawyer distinction based on more than 20,000 votes from attorneys throughout the state who nominated the best lawyers they have personally observed in action. An attorney-led research staff reviewed the nominees’ credentials, licensure, and standing with the Bar, assigning points based upon defined evaluation criteria. A Blue Ribbon panel of attorneys scored the top vote-getters, who were divided into nearly 55 areas of practice.
Attorney Danel received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Pennsylvania State University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
Attorney Danel is a past president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association). She is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice. Attorney Danel is also a Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum member for having a trial verdict or settlement in the amount of two million dollars or more.
