“Words to be Heard” College Scholarship Contest Begins
High School Seniors to Propose Programs to Prevent Underage Drinking and Drunk Driving
High school seniors in western and central Pennsylvania interested in winning a college scholarship can participate in the 3rd Annual "Words to Be Heard" Scholarship Contest sponsored by the law offices of Edgar Snyder & Associates. Students are asked to write a proposal for a program that would teach pre-teens and teenagers the consequences associated with underage drinking and drunk driving. The grand prize winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship to the school of their choice, the 2nd place winner will receive $1,000, and three runners-up will receive $500 toward their educations.
“Over the past 40 years, my law firm has represented thousands of people seriously injured in drunk driving accidents. We see first-hand the devastation it can cause,” said Attorney Edgar Snyder. “We want this contest to help us learn, from teens, what we can do to help prevent alcohol-related tragedies.”
Edgar Snyder & Associates sent letters to area high school guidance counselors announcing the contest. If your high school needs information about the “Words to be Heard” Scholarship Contest, you can call Edgar Snyder & Associates toll-free at 1-800-394-3660, ext. 4412, or visit the Web site at www.edgarsnyder.com.
