Gas Prices Fuel Motorcycle Sales
April 2006
As the price of gas continues to climb so do motorcycle sales. People are buying bikes to cut down on their fuel budget; but this could be a very dangerous investment costing more than just their money.
Motorcycles get up to 40 miles a gallon, which could save a person a considerable amount of money with skyrocketing gas prices. But people thinking about money are forgetting about safety. Consumers are buying the bikes without even knowing how to ride a motorcycle which can lead to potentially dangerous situations.
Pennsylvania offers free motorcycle training classes for beginners, and we encourage new riders to enroll. For more information on the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program or to register for classes, call 1-800-845-9533.
