Johnstown, PA Dairy Company Recalls Milk
May 2007
The Galliker Dairy Company of Johnstown, PA has issued two separate
recalls of milk. The recall includes: Galliker’s Acidophilus Plus
Reduced Milk with the code date of May 13, 2007, and Galliker's Healthy
Chekd Calcium Enriched Fat Free Milk coded May 14, 2007.
Galliker’s Acidophilus Plus Reduced Milk may contain under-processed content, possibly being tainted with infectious organisms. Because raw milk is unable to be tested routinely for bacteria, any under-processed content may present an unchecked dangerous threat to health.
Galliker's Healthy Chekd Calcium Enriched Fat Free Milk has been over fortified with Vitamin A. In people with Vitamin A sensitivity, this product could be a health hazard.
