Counterfeit Prescription Drugs Sold Online

A warning to consumers seeking prescription drugs at a discounted rate – beware of online sellers that may be peddling fake or mislabeled medication. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a statement regarding recent cases of counterfeit prescription drugs being sold by Pharmacycall365.com and 24 other related websites.

In three separate cases, the weight loss drug, Xenical, was purchased from either Brandpills.com or Pillspharm.com, and turned out to be fake. Two samples were composed of only talc and starch, while another sample contained the active ingredient of Meridia, a weight loss drug with different dosage and dosing frequency requirements not suitable for all patient populations.

These sites were traced back to Pharmacycall365.com, and linked to 22 other sites that may sell similarly compromised medication. The list of sites operated under Pharmacycall365.com is:
