Toyota Recalls Over Half a Million SUVs and Trucks
January 2006
Drive a Toyota truck or SUV? Before you start your engine, check your make and model. Faulty components that could make steering difficult prompted Toyota to recall 533,000 trucks and SUVs.
The recall affects certain 2004 through 2007 model year Sequoias and 2004 through 2006 model year Tundras. To date, there have been six injuries and 11 accidents attributed to the defective vehicles, which were manufactured at Toyota’s Indiana plant.
Toyota said it would notify owners in mid-February and repair the faulty front-suspension lower ball joints at no cost to the owners.
