Scooters Sold at Target Recalled

August 2006

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Triple Win Sports have recalled 185,000 Firestreet Scooters sold at Target stores nationwide. The recall was prompted by reports of injuries from breaking or collapsing parts.

The handlebars, wheels and wheel brakes can break and detach causing the rider to lose control and crash. Several injuries have been reported including facial bruises, cracked teeth and a lacerated toe. The recall includes F Forward Firestreet scooters with the model number BZ 020 SP.

Consumers should immediately discontinue use and return the scooters to their local Target store for a refund. For more information, consumers can call Target at 1-800-440-0680.
