State Farm Recalls Bears Due to Choking Hazard

State Farm insurance company has recalled 800,000 of its Good Neigh
Bears because they pose a choking hazard to children. The eyes of the dangerous
toy can detach, and the company has received one report of a young
child putting the plastic eye in her mouth.
The bears were distributed for free through State Farm agents and at State Farm sponsored events from September 2005 through March 2007. The bears affected by the recall are 11-inch (28 cm) and 18-inch (46 cm) State Farm Good Neigh Bears with plastic eyes. They are brown with a white and red State Farm shirt.
The bears were manufactured in China. They should immediately be taken away from children and discarded.
