Mini-Trampolines Recalled

April 2006

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Stamina Products Inc. recalled 668,000 InMotion trampolines after assembly directions led to serious injuries.

Stamina received reports of the trampoline snapping back into the folded position and striking the consumer. Injuries have included concussions, facial bone fractures, stitches to various parts of the face, corneal abrasions, and chipped teeth.

The mini-trampolines are round and measure 36 inches across. The trampolines have six legs measuring 7.5 inches long. Most of the recalled mini-trampolines have the model numbers 35-1625. Model 35-1625C and 35-1625CW are not included in this recall.

Wal-Mart, Play It Again Sports, and other retail outlets nationwide sold the mini-trampolines from August 2000 through March 2006 for $20. Consumers should not assemble or disassemble until they receive the revised instructions. They can contact Stamina at 800-375-7520 for new directions.
