Lowe’s Household Products Recalled

August 2007

Outdoor chairs and window blinds recalled Attention consumers – Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores have announced two large recalls of products that could cause household injuries. Outdoor lounge chairs have been pulled due to a fall hazard and window blinds have been recalled due to a strangulation risk.

Garden Treasures Cloud 9 Beyond Chairs sold from December 2006 to April 2007 at Lowe’s Stores nationwide have been recalled. When reclined, the chair could potentially give way and break. This could lead to falls which cause injuries to the arms, back, hips, and shoulders, or even cause torn ligaments. Seven related injuries have been reported to date.

Basic Blindz Window Blinds sold from March 2007 to July 2007 at Lowe’s have also been recalled. If the blinds’ pull cord becomes looped, it could become a potential strangulation hazard, especially for young children. The following blinds are included in the recall:

  • 75-4277-27 251090 Basic Blindz® 35x64 Faux Wood - Natural
  • 75-4278-27 251093 Basic Blindz® 36x64 Faux Wood - Natural
