Little Tikes Recalls Flashlights
March 2006
Little Tikes, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), recalled 20,800 animal-shaped flashlights sold at Target stores nationwide because of a lead paint risk.
The green paint on the Glowin’ Dino flashlight and the brown paint on the Glowin’ Doggy flashlight could contain excess levels of lead. If ingested by a child, lead can cause serious side effects.
Look for the following recalled date codes on the bottom of the flashlight:
- LC5H161
- LC5H291
- LC5I031
- LC5I091
- LC5I131
- LC5JO61
- LC5J231
- LC5J311
The flashlights were sold only at Target stores from November 2005 to December 2005. Consumers should discontinue use immediately and contact Little Tikes at 1-866-765-6729.
