Infantino Rattles Recalled Due to Choking Hazard
January 2009
Over 130,000 Infantino Lion and Lamb Grabby Rattles have been recalled
by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the manufacturer,
Infantino LLC. The rattle's animal "tail" can detach, posing a choking
hazard to small children.
The rattles are ring-shaped with a lamb or lion face and an Infantino elliptical logo on the front right foot of the animal. Rattles without tails on the animals and products with production codes 0108 and 0508 are not included in the recall. So far, 10 reports of tail detachment have been received by Infantino.
The defective products were sold nationwide from May 2007 through September 2008 at Wal-Mart, Babies "R" Us, and other specialty stores for $3 to $4.
