Baby Cookie Monster Toy Recalled

October 2006

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Betesh Group of New York voluntarily recalled their Baby Cookie Monster plush toys for a possible choking hazard.

The small felt cookie attached to Cookie Monster’s hand can easily be removed from the toy and swallowed. The Baby Cookie Monster plush toy was sold with Sesame Beginnings Make Music Together DVDs.

Consumers are urged to immediately remove the cookie with scissors and throw it away. The toys were sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from March through July of this year. For more information, contact the Sesame Workshop at 1-800-986-1619.
