Black & Decker Recalls Blowers Due to Fires

Black & Decker and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled 272,000 blower/vacuums. The recall was prompted by reports of overheating and fire hazards.

The recall includes Black & Decker model BV4000 Type 1 blower/vacs. The model number is printed on a nameplate on the right side of the blower. The blowers are orange and black in color.

Consumers should discontinue use and contact Black & Decker at 1-866-853-2138 for a replacement part.
