Evenflo Car Seat Recalled
August 2003
Evenflo has recalled 236,384 car seats due to concerns that damage may occur to the detachable base during installation. This base connects the eat to the vehicle; therefore, if it is damaged, the child would not be properly restrained.
The recall was prompted by testing conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). As of this posting, no infants have been injured or killed as a result of the defect. The recalled car seats were manufactured between November 2001 and August 2002.
If you currently use a Cozy Carrier infant seat manufactured between these dates, please discontinue use of this car seat immediately and find out the details of the recall.
