Deadly Holiday Weekend on PA Roads
April 2006
Pennsylvania roads were deadly this past weekend, but many accidents could have been prevented by following safe driving tips.
Six people were killed and 235 injured in vehicle crashes during the three-day holiday weekend, according to state police. Alcohol played a role in 72 of the 552 crashes. Drunk driving also contributed to two fatal crashes. And out of the six people killed in car accidents, only two were wearing their seatbelts.
