Utah Motorcycle Helmet Law

In Utah, motorcycle operators and riders under 18 must wear a helmet that complies with the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety's rules establishing specifications and standards for use of helmets.

Because these rules are subject to change, those subject to the mandatory helmet law should check with the Commissioner before riding on a motorcycle in Utah.
