Louisiana Motorcycle Helmet Law

In Louisiana, anyone who operates or rides on a motorcycle must wear a helmet that is secured with a chin strap at all times when the bike is in motion.

In addition to chin straps, all helmets must consist of lining, padding, and a visor, and any other specifications that the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles may require.
