In Delaware, all motorcycles operators and riders must have in their possession a safety helmet, but only operators and riders 18 and younger must wear actually wear the helmet.

All drivers and operators, however, regardless of age, must wear eye protection.

Delaware's Secretary of the Department of Public Safety is in charge of approving the design of helmets and eye protection.
