Prom Safety Promotions and Community Involvements

At the law offices of Edgar Snyder & Associates, we believe that all teens are entitled to a safe and fun-filled prom experience.

The number one threat to the safety of students during the prom season is underage drinking. That’s why our law firm has joined together with many local Pennsylvania television and radio stations to promote prom safety in our schools and neighborhoods.

The following programs are just a few of the ways that our law firm gives back to the community by fighting against underage drinking and drunk driving during the prom season:

Television PSAs

Every year, during the prom months, Edgar Snyder & Associates teams up with TV stations across central and western Pennsylvania to bring attention to the dangers of underage drinking. Our prom and graduation public service announcement (as seen above) and related video messages air on channels throughout the Pittsburgh, Erie, and Johnstown/Altoona television markets.

Hot 92 and Hot 100 Prom Pledge

Our law firm is proud to work with Hot 92 in Johnstown and Hot 100 in Altoona to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving during the prom season. These two hit radio stations help to promote prom safety in central Pennsylvania community schools through the the BuzzFree Prom Pledge.

YourErie.com Prom Promise

Together with YourErie.com, the online home of WFXP and WJET, Edgar Snyder & Associates offers students a chance to win one of three great prizes during the prom season – a video camera, a laptop, or a dinner package for Joe Root’s Grill. All students have to do is sign the Prom Promise to stay away from alcohol during their prom night festivities and they’re automatically entered to win.

Central PA Student Safety Programs

Along with the above contests, our law firm is also proud to be a part of two different student safety initiatives in central Pennsylvania. Edgar Snyder & Associates is a sponsor of Leader of the Class on WTAJ in the Johnstown/Altoona area, which recognizes local student achievements. Safe Graduation, through WATM and WWCP, is another student recognition program that our law firm is proud to sponsor.
