Don’t Drink and Drive Community Service Efforts in Pennsylvania
Throughout the years, our law firm has become well-known for taking a stand against drinking and driving. Each year – especially throughout the holiday season – Edgar Snyder & Associates strives to remind the public about the dangers of drinking and driving.
Edgar Snyder Save A Life Tour

The Save a Life Tour uses a first-of-its-kind, multi-million dollar DUI simulator to help students get a realistic look at the impaired judgment and delayed reaction time that alcohol causes.

Don’t Drink and Drive Advertising
Television
Edgar Snyder & Associates runs public service announcements on various TV stations urging viewers to have a happy and safe holiday season by choosing not to drink and drive. We place ads during peak party times that include Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, winter holidays, and New Year’s.
We run special "Dangers of Drinking" ads at prom and graduation time. Because too many of our teenagers believe they’re invincible, Edgar Snyder & Associates educates this age group about the dangers of drinking and driving. It’s important to have a good time during prom and graduation, but students should also be sure they have a future: "Think – Don’t Drink!"
Radio
Our law firm doesn’t just fight drunk driving through our TV ads – Edgar Snyder can often be heard on the radios of western and central Pennsylvania residents throughout the winter and summer holiday seasons, delivering a strong anti-drunk driving message.
Online
Our law firm creates online advertisements and infographics to encourage safe driving. Banner ads and other advertising images can be seen on local news station websites around the holidays, as well as during the prom and graduation season. Additionally, we promote safe and sober driving via social media platforms. Those who sign our Safe & Sober pledge are entered to win prizes.
Billboards
Where else to make an impact on the dangers of drinking and driving than when you’re actually on the road? Edgar Snyder & Associates and Lamar Outdoor Advertising team up during the holiday season to discourage drunk driving with billboards posted throughout the greater Erie, Pittsburgh, Johnstown, and Altoona areas.

Be a Responsible Party Host
Every year Edgar Snyder & Associates raises awareness about being a responsible party host throughout the holiday season and into a new year. For that reason we created a Party Host Kit, so you and your family can have access to holiday mocktails, safety tips, and more. Visit our Party Host Kit web page for more information.
Scholarship Contest to Fight Underage Drinking and Driving
Every year, our law firm awards scholarships to Pennsylvania high school seniors who compete in our "Words to be Heard" contest. We ask graduating students from Pittsburgh, Johnstown/Altoona, and Erie to submit projects outlining the best methods to teach the dangers of underage drinking and drunk driving, as well as texting while driving, to their peers.
Teen Driver Safety Summit
Attorney Edgar Snyder spoke at the 2012 Teen Driver Safety Summit to a group of 200 Pittsburgh-area high school students, which featured three other speakers – testimonies from two young ladies and a state trooper. Mr. Snyder took the stage last and spoke to the students about his personal experience over the past 40 years helping accident victims and their families. The students also broke into groups and created slogans that discourage texting while driving and drunk driving. Attorney Edgar Snyder and Edgar Snyder & Associates feel that no family should have to go through the loss of losing a loved one to distracted driving or drunk driving. Thanks to the Teen Driver Safety Summit Youth Advisory Board for inviting Edgar to speak and allowing the law firm to spread its message about the dangers of drunk driving and distracted driving. Watch the video below to hear Edgar at the Teen Driver Safety Summit.

Project Road Block
Edgar Snyder & Associates has partnered with WJET-TV, WFXP-TV, and YourErie.com for this campaign aimed at preventing drunk driving. The campaign runs during the holidays — a time when drunk driving accidents and deaths increase across Pennsylvania and the U.S. The campaign used a variety of advertisements to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Drunk Driving Holiday Quiz
Take our drinking and driving quiz to test your knowledge of drunk driving and the consequences of alcohol when it comes to car accidents. We’ve designed this informative and interactive quiz to address the serious dangers of driving while intoxicated.
