Rear-Facing Car Seat
Children less than 1 year of age and children who weigh less than 20 pounds are required to use a rear-facing child safety seat in the back seat if possible.
Car Seat
Children ages 1 to 3 who weigh between 20 and 39 pounds are required to use a forward-facing child safety seat in the back seat if possible.
Booster Seat
Children ages 4 through 7 who weigh at least 40 pounds but less than 80 pounds and who are less than 57 inches tall are required to be in a booster seat.
Seat Belt
- Children ages 8 to 15 must be restrained in all seating positions.
- Children 8 years and younger who are more than 80 pounds and who are 57 inches or taller.
Seating Position
Children ages 3 and younger must be in a rear seat, if available.
