Law states no preference.
Car Seat
Children ages 7 and under and weighing less than 80 pounds must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat or booster seat in the backseat if available.
Booster Seat
Children ages 7 and under and weighing less than 80 pounds must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat or booster seat in the backseat if available.
Seat Belt
- Children ages 7 and under and who weigh more than 80 pounds.
- Children ages 8 through 17.
Seating Position
Children 7 years and younger who weigh less than 80 pounds must be in the rear seat if available.
