Law states no preference.

Car Seat

Children ages 6 and under and less than 57 inches in height must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat.

Booster Seat

Children ages 6 and under and less than 57 inches in height must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat.

Seat Belt

  • Children ages 7 through 17 must be restrained in a seat belt.
  • Children younger than 7 who are at least 57 inches tall must be restrained in a seat belt.

Seating Position

Law states no preference.

Fines & Penalties

Maximum fine for first offense is $50.
