PITTSBURGH – Sandy Snyder, Chief Marketing Officer at the law offices of Edgar Snyder & Associates®, was honored at the 6th Annual Women of Achievement Awards, which recognizes women for their accomplishments and contributions to the success and advancement of the City of Pittsburgh. Ms. Snyder, in addition to 22 other local women, were honored as 2011 Women of Achievement, which is a fundraiser for the Pittsburgh-based charity Cribs for Kids® Infant Safe Sleep Initiative.
Over the past 28 years, Ms. Snyder helped to expand Edgar Snyder & Associates from a two-person law firm to more than 110 employees working at five office locations. In honor of her contribution to legal marketing, Sandy received the 2007 Outstanding Achievement in Media Award from the Media Association of Pittsburgh.
Sandy’s philanthropic work includes serving as co-chair, with Edgar, of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s 2012 Centennial Celebration. Sandy and Edgar also developed and fund the Pittsburgh SOS program in partnership with the Jewish Family & Children’s Service to help needy Pittsburgh residents. In addition, they support a Russian SOS program in partnership with the Joint Distribution Committee. In recognition of their philanthropic efforts, PNC honored the Snyders with the Community Builders Award.
