If you are using a Brazilian diet pill, stop. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is urging consumers not to use two Brazilian diet pills because they contain tranquilizers, antidepressants and stimulants.
The pills, which go by the names Emagrece Sim, the Brazilian Diet Pill, and Herbathin, are sold over the internet and advertised as being “all-natural.” But beware, these pills contain controlled substances found in drugs like Librium and Prozac. The ingredients in the drugs are potentially habit-forming, and use of the drugs may lead to serious injury, according to the FDA.
The pills are imported and distributed by Emagrece Sim Laboratories Inc. of Miami and Emiex Corp. of Doral, FL.
