The Community Service Committee at Edgar Snyder & Associates
Our Community Service Committee consists of a group of employees who coordinate community service and volunteer activities for the law firm. Employees can participate in these various activities throughout the year during paid company time.
Past service events include:
- Boy Scouts of America - Scouting for Food: law firm food drive raised $28,219 to benefit hungry people in need
- Catholic Charities' Refugee Services Program: collected and provided 65 coats for refugees resettling in Pittsburgh from Africa
- Church World Service: prepared 56 school kits and 45 hygiene kits for children, and raised $525 for shipping
- Dress for Success: organized a clothes drive for suits and business casual wear to help people seeking professional attire
- Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank: packaged bulk shipments for distribution
- Race for the Cure: law firm employees raised funds and participated in the race
- St. Barnabas' Pennies for Patients: collected 13,305 pennies that were converted to help needy patients with food and medical supplies
- Ursuline Senior Services: purchased and wrapped holiday gifts for low income elderly people in nursing homes
- Western PA Conservancy: planted flowers in Squirrel Hill and Pittsburgh's Point State Park
- Promoted on-site blood drives
